Casanova di Neri winery has a beautiful and special story that deserves to be told. It all began thanks to the intuition of a courageous wine lover, Giovanni Neri, who more than 50 years ago, in 1971, while visiting the area of Montalcino, immediately sensed the oenological potential of the territory, but above all the land.
His idea is to produce a prestigious Italian red wine. His skills allow him to sense from the very beginning that the soil composition and altitude with relative climatic context of Podere Casanova can give the best Brunello in Italy. Seven magnificent vineyards located in the various areas of the Montalcino appellation: their diversity of soil, exposure, microclimate and age of the vines, which together constitute their concept of terroir, represent the identity of these extraordinary wines.
Brunello di Montalcino Etichetta Bianca 1982 wins the gold medal in one of the most important competitions in the wine world, the Challenge International du Vin. From this moment Brunello di Montalcino Casanova di Neri enters the elite of Italian wines and beyond.
