B Corp certification is a mark of excellence that requires passing a rigorous process to assess social and environmental performance, accountability and corporate transparency. With this success, Tasca d'Almerita joins a global movement of companies committed to an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy.
Alberto Tasca, eighth generation at the helm of the company, expresses great pride for the result achieved, the fruit of years of work dedicated to the sustainable development of the Sicilian territory. The B Corp certification marks a new chapter in the company's continuous improvement, highlighting areas for future growth.
A crucial role in achieving this goal was played by the SOStain protocol, the sustainability programme for Sicilian viticulture to which Tasca d'Almerita has adhered since 2010. This protocol, based on ten minimum sustainability requirements, reflects the company's commitment to enhancing the territory and conserving natural resources.
In 2020, Tasca d'Almerita further strengthened its commitment by becoming a Benefit Company, legally integrating profit objectives with aims of common benefit. Their concrete actions in terms of environmental and social responsibility are documented in the Sustainability Report, published annually for the past 12 years.
