Golden start of the year for Castagner Distillery

The jury of the prestigious Meininger’s International Spirit Award ISW 2021 awarded the master distiller Roberto Castagner two new gold medals. Two excellences have won the prestigious award: Fuoriclasse Leon Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva and Fuoriclasse Leon 7 Anni Riserva, products that in the glass tell all the passion and attention to detail that are the stylistic sign of Roberto Castagner.

Nuda, the Castagner organic grappa aged in barrique, obtained the gold medal at the International Organic Awards 2021. The only Italian distillate to obtain the highest recognition. "This award makes me particularly proud, and it is a great satisfaction that it was won by Nuda, a Grappa that I wanted to create to celebrate the beauty of nature and that I dedicate to those who share with me the deepest respect and attention for the environment. " says Roberto Castagner.

These awards are a chorus of prizes for all the products presented by Castagner Distillery in Bibenda for the 2021 Guide, curated by the Italian Sommelier Foundation and considered by experts to be among the most authoritative, which was awarded the highest score and the prestigious recognition of the 5 Bunches in the section "The best Grappas of Italy". It was the only distillery to receive the 5 Bunches for 5 distillates: it starts with the Grappa Riserva aged in cherry barriques; then three references of the Leon Fuoriclasse range were awarded, the 3-year-old, passing to the 7-year-old and reaching the 14-year-old. Last but not least the Leon Fuoriclasse Grappa Amarone della Valpolicella, a great cult of the Venetian tradition.
